Create a Version
A "version" is an edited variation of your original uploaded content. You can generate versions using high-level instructions that leverage your project’s data, including the transcript text, chapters, speakers, music/effects, and any tags you've applied. Rejig will suggest which lines of the transcript can be removed to fit your instructions.
On the edit screen, click the "Create Version" button to open the version creation window. Alternatively, from the dashboard click the "Create" button, then select "Version".
Create a recipe
A version is constructed from a "recipe" – a sequence of instructions that are applied in order, from top to bottom. Each instruction is based on a template designed to perform a specific task, such as removing a chapter, reducing the overall duration, or cutting lines that have certain tags.
Choose from the list of available templates to create the first instructions. Selecting a template will open its specific settings page. Details of each template are covered in subsequent articles. Additional instructions can be added by pressing the plus button, found at the bottom of the recipe list. To remove an instruction from your recipe, click its X button in the receipe list.
In most editing templates, you'll have the option to apply the instruction to either:
Entire production: The instruction will affect all content, other than that which has been removed by previous instructions.
Selected chapters only: The instruction will only be applied to lines in the selected chapters. This particular instruction will not affect unselected chapters.
Once you have completed your recipe, click the "Generate" button to process your instructions.
Preview and adjust your version
Once your instructions have been processed, they will be displayed in the transcript. Lines that are suggested to be removed will be crossed out. You can then manually fine-tune these suggested edits by toggling the checkbox on each individual line to either skip or keep.
Press play to preview your edit. Please note that due to browser limitations, edits in the preview are not always accurate. Edit points may be slightly early or late, or there may be brief pauses due to buffering. To preview the version with precise edits, please export the version as a media file.
