Duration

The Duration template is a powerful AI tool designed to intelligently shorten your content to a specific target length by analysing your content and suggesting lines for removal. Its goal is to preserve the core narrative and flow, ensuring that the shorter version remains coherent and makes sense to the listener or viewer. It attempts to remove less critical content while retaining key information.

Simply set a target duration and selected scope (entire production, or specific chapters). Rejig will identify and mark lines for removal to achieve your desired length.

Chapter accuracy

The duration reduction is applied by reducing each chapter by the same proportion. This is done to help maintain a balanced narrative structure. Because of this, it is important that your chapter points are well-defined and accurately reflect the natural segments and structure of your content before applying this template. Well-structured chapters lead to more logical and effective shortening.

Realistic target

If the length of your generated version is much higher than the target duration, then your target duration may be too low for the content you are using. This is because Rejig has reached the limit of lines that can be removed while maintaining coherence. To solve this, use another template (such as chapter removal) to make larger cuts before applying duration reduction.
