Tags

Tags are versatile textual labels that you can attach to one or more lines within your transcript. Their primary purpose in Rejig is to support powerful AI-assisted editing, but they also serve as a semantic search and organisational tool.

You can open the tags menu by clicking the tag icon in the top-right corner of the editing screen. This will display a list of all tags used in your project, and the number of lines with that tag.

Tags can be added to transcript lines either manually or with AI assistance. You can add multiple tags to a single line.

Manual Tagging

  1. Hover your cursor over the transcript line you wish to tag.

  2. Click the tag icon that appears on the far right side of that line. A drop-down menu will open.

  3. To use an existing tag, start typing the tag name. The list will filter to show existing tags. Click the desired tag or press Enter to select the top entry.

  4. To create a new tag, type the new tag name and press Return/Enter, or click the "Create '[Tag Name]'" option that appears.

Automatic Tagging

Rejig can also tag lines automatically using AI. This will attempt to find lines that match the name of the tag. For example, the tag "animals" would match lines that mention "cats", "dogs", or any other animal.

To automatically add tags, open the tag menu, type the tag name, and click the "Add" button.
