Text
The transcript text represents all audible content in your media, including speech, music, and sound effects, broken down into timed lines.
You can modify the text of any line in the transcript in two ways:
Click the edit icon (often a pencil symbol) that appears when you hover your cursor over a line of text.
Hold the Ctrl key (on Windows) or Cmd key (on Mac) and click directly on the line of text.
This will make the text editable. To finish editing and save your changes, press the Return/Enter key or simply click outside of the text box.
Search
To find a certain part quickly, you can search the text of the transcript. You can either click the search box at the top of the screen, or press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac). As you type, lines that contain matching text will be highlighted.
Press Return to jump to the next matching line. If your content is playing while you do this, then it will seek to the currently selected line.
Notes
Changing or removing words in the transcript will not alter the actual speech in your audio or video file. The transcript edits are to correct the transcript text, to improve readability and to guide AI editing processes that rely on accurate text.
Currently, you cannot split a single transcript line into two separate lines, but we are working to add this feature in a future update.
