Uploading Files

Getting your media into Rejig is the first step. Here’s what you need to know:

Supported Files

You can upload any standard audio file, or any video file that contains an audio track. Rejig supports all common, valid media containers and codecs. For Rejig to work effectively, the audio content should primarily consist of speech.

Resumable Uploads

If your internet connection is interrupted during an upload, Rejig will attempt to resume the upload from where it left off, provided you keep the browser window open.

Processing

After a file is successfully uploaded, it undergoes several processing stages. This includes transcribing the audio, analysing the content (e.g., for speaker diarization, chapter detection), and generating a low-resolution proxy copy for efficient previewing within the platform.

This processing is generally quite fast, typically completing at a rate about 10 times faster than the length of your content. For example, a 10-minute video or audio file will usually take around 1 minute to process.

Limitations

Please see the Limitations page for the current upload limits.
